Faith is more than a feeling or a mental agreement. It is a foundation that holds the full weight of a life, a daily walk that continues through ordinary and difficult seasons, and an obedience that moves forward even when nothing around us makes sense. Hebrews 11 introduces us to real people who lived this kind of faith, and their stories are not recorded to show us how great they were. They are recorded to show us how great their God was. And because their God is our God, we are not meant to observe these people from a distance. We are meant to stand among them.
Abel teaches us that faithful worship is not about convenience. It is about bringing God our first and our best, honoring Him as worthy of everything. All three received the same testimony from God. Faith is what ties their stories together, and it is what ties us to them. We may never be remembered for our worship, our walk, or our obedience. But God has it written down, and that is enough. This week, choose one area where your faith needs to move from agreement to action, and take one step forward.
